1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your use of PDFb2 ("the Service"), operated by bee2.io LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PDFb2 provides PDF processing tools that work entirely on your computer. All file processing happens on your device, not in the cloud. All PDF tools can be used without creating an account. You can download up to 3 files without signing up. After that, a free account provides 2 downloads per day.
Privacy by Design: We do not upload, store, or have access to your files. Your documents never leave your computer.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
4. Free and Paid Services
FFree Tier
- 3 guest downloads (no account), then 2 per day
- Access to all PDF tools
- Earn +30 downloads per referral
PPro Subscription
- Unlimited downloads
- Auto-renews monthly
- Cancel anytime
Payment Processing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 14 days of any charge, including subscription renewals. To request a refund, contact Paddle (our Merchant of Record) through the subscription management page or email support. Refunds are processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
5. Referral Program
PDFb2 offers a referral program that rewards both you and the friends you invite.
How it works: Enter your friend's email in your Dashboard. When they sign up and verify their email, you both receive 30 bonus downloads.
Limits: You can send up to 5 referral invitations per day. There is no limit on total referrals.
Expiration: Referral bonus downloads expire 30 days after they are earned. Oldest downloads are used first.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Process files you don't have the right to modify
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service excessively
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by PDFb2 and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content: You retain all rights to the documents you process using our Service. We make no claims to ownership of your files.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your files never leave your computer.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- • The Service will meet your specific requirements
- • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- • Results from the Service will be accurate or reliable
Scheduled Maintenance
Software updates are typically performed between 10:00 and 11:00 UTC (5:00–6:00 AM US Eastern). During updates, the Service may be briefly unavailable for approximately 5–10 minutes. If you experience any issues, simply refresh your browser. A notification banner will appear automatically when a new version is available.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDFB2 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PDFb2 and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team.
Inactive Account Deletion
Free accounts that remain inactive (no sign-in activity) for 6 months will be automatically deleted. Paid accounts are not subject to automatic deletion. Before deletion, we will send email reminders at 1 month and 1 week prior. Sign in to your account at any time to reset the inactivity timer.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.
14. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules.
16. Open Source Acknowledgments
PDFb2 is built with the help of open-source software. We gratefully acknowledge the developers and communities behind these projects.
Key libraries include: React, Next.js, pdf-lib, PDF.js, and others licensed under MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD, and similar permissive open-source licenses.
