Split and Extract PDF Pages Without Uploading

PDFb2 splits PDF files entirely in your browser. Your document never leaves your device — there is no upload, no server processing, and no third party involved. The splitting engine runs in JavaScript, reads your PDF locally, extracts the pages you specify, and saves the results directly to your computer.

This tool offers four splitting modes. Extract Specific Pages creates a separate PDF for each selected page. Extract as Single PDF pulls your chosen pages into one combined document. Split by Ranges lets you define custom groups (e.g., pages 1-5 become one PDF, 6-10 become another). Split Every N Pages divides the document into equal chunks automatically.

When You Need to Split a PDF

Lawyers extract specific exhibits from multi-hundred-page case files. Accountants pull individual statements from consolidated financial reports. Teachers separate test pages from answer keys. HR departments extract individual offer letters from batch-generated documents. Project managers split meeting minutes by date or topic. In each scenario, the original document often contains confidential information across pages, and splitting it on a server means exposing the entire file — not just the pages you need.

Page Range Syntax

The page input accepts individual numbers (1, 3, 7), ranges (1-5), and combinations (1-3, 5, 8-12). When splitting by ranges, each comma-separated group becomes its own PDF. When multiple files are generated, you can download them individually or as a single ZIP archive. Password-protected PDFs are supported — enter the password when prompted and the decryption happens locally in the browser. The original file is never modified; all operations create new documents from the source pages.
